Our Scrip Grocery Card program is an easy, no cost way for families to support Shining Mountain Waldorf School. We have partnerships with many of our local stores, who give back from 5-10% of each dollar spent directly to Shining Mountain. For example, you can purchase a $100 Safeway Gift Card for $100, and Safeway donates $5 to SMWS. The key to this program’s success is our monthly standing order process, allowing us to achieve high volume sales consistently each month. Last year we earned $12,000 in our Scrip Grocery card program and our goal this year is to earn $15,000. The stores that are participating in the 2012-2013 school year are:

- McGuckin’s Hardware | (10% to SMWS)
- Pharmaca | (10% to SMWS)
- Safeway | (5% to SMWS)
- Sunflower | (5% to SMWS)
- Vitamin Cottage | (5% to SMWS)

Please download the Scrip Monthly Standing Order Form and return it with your first check to the lower school or high school office. You can postdate checks for each month of the school year, September-June. Starting in September, after your first Scrip card purchase for Safeway and/or King Sooper’s, the cards will be reloadable at the store using your credit or debit card, with SMWS still receiving the 5% gift. We will not be using credit cards for Scrip as the 3% credit card fees charged to the school erode the donations we receive. You can always walk into the lower school office to pick up additional Scrip cards.
