Parents who are interested in submitting an application for their child are asked to attend a monthly School Tour. These tours are designed for parents only and take you into classrooms while they are in session. We begin with a presentation and discussion about Waldorf Education and visit a few classrooms, including the Kindergarten, grade school and middle school. The tour ends with a discussion lead by a High School Faculty member and two of our High School Honors students. Our School Tours are held the second Thursday of every month, (excluding the month of April) and begin in the Community House which is located just across the street from the lower school parking lot.
Personal tours may be arranged for out-of-state visitors and for those who cannot attend a regularly scheduled Classroom Tour. Please call the Admissions Office at 303-951-8579 for details.
We hold an All School Open House once a year where our teachers are present, student work is displayed, and tours of the campus and classrooms are provided. Parents and their children are invited to attend.
In addition, we offer numerous educational lectures, festivals, student concerts, and plays throughout the year. These are open to the public as an enjoyable way for parents and children to experience the breadth and depth of Shining Mountain’s program. Check our calendar for dates and times.
