Shining Mountain Student Alumni News

In his first semester at NYU, 2012 Alumni MALAKAI LINDEN
has been studying Music Technology. While attending Shining Mountain, Kai developed a love for music. Through HS he studied jazz guitar, played in the HS jazz band and sang in A Cappella. During his time on foreign exchange during the end of 10th grade, in Germany, Kai became interested in electronic music, which is very popular in Europe. He began studying electronic music and for his senior project he learned a music production program and produced a short album (EP) “Looking from the Ground, Up”. During his senior year, Kai produced his second album “Reflections of Night and Day” which was released in July 2012. Stay tuned for a third album due to come out later this winter. Kai was recently interviewed as a featured artist in the new music magazine, Wobblehead, coming out in the New Year.
