This international program brings high school students in contact with Nobel Laureates and other students who have an interest in social activism. Past conferences have included the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, and Jose Horta Ramos. The PeaceJam group meets weekly to discuss such issues as racism, violence, social justice and what it means to be a peacemaker. Community service projects at school and the Family Learning Center are also part of the program. The goal of Peace Jam is to inspire a new generation of young leaders committed to positive change in themselves, their communities, and the world.
