Advisors and Sponsors

At the beginning of the school year, each student is assigned a faculty member to serve as his/her advisor. The Advisor is an advocate for the student’s well-being and development, academically, socially, and personally. The advisor is the contact person for the student’s parents and for other faculty. Students meet regularly with their Advisors and “check-out” with them at the end of each day while sharing a common service role for the high school. Additionally, each high school class is assigned two class sponsors. The Sponsors serve the class as a whole, work to ensure the health of the group, coordinate class events and functions, and communicate to the faculty and to parents on class related issues.
