Athletics Overview

Shining Mountain offers an After School Sports program for students in Grades 6-12. Emphasis is placed on character development through teamwork, sportsmanship, and meeting victory and defeat with equanimity and grace. Athletes are guided to reach their highest potential, while maintaining a balanced lifestyle that includes academics, the arts, and involvement in family and community activities. All students who can make a commitment to the athletic schedule become integral parts of the school team (there are no tryouts or cuts).

Our purpose is to lead young student athletes with love, integrity and respect so upon reflection they view their athletic career at Shining Mountain Waldorf School as a positive life-changing experience. The core values of the program are: Positivity, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork.
