Bluebell PreK
Shining Mountain offers full and partial-week options for children ages 2.5–4. Inside our home-like classrooms, your child explores a warm, soothing environment filled with natural materials and soft light. Here, creative play and imagination lead the way, guided by teachers who model purposeful, gentle action.
Our daily rhythm balances vigorous activity with quiet reflection. The curriculum includes arts, seasonal crafts, puppetry, and bread baking. Through oral storytelling and fairy tales, we nourish the child’s inner imagination—forming the vital foundation for future literacy and critical thinking.
Children in Bluebell PreK have the option of attending 3, 4 or 5 mornings a week.
During walks and outdoor play times, children experience a sense of wonder and a love of nature. Celebrating seasonal festivals not only reminds children of the cycles of the year, but also holds them in the larger Shining Mountain family.
Each class is guided by a lead teacher with an assistant. Children may join the PreK program when they are age 2.5 and on their way to being toilet independent (they may still be in a pull up or diaper, as long as they have begun toilet training).
